Private lessons are an excellent and efficient way to gain proficiency in instrumental play and voice development. Because everyone has individual needs when it comes to learning music, private lessons give you the clearest path to making progress on your instrument or with your singing voice. Each lesson allows you to review your progress from the previous lesson, as well as learn new skills that will help you achieve higher levels of performance. Music is a discipline, yes; but it can be a fun discipline and an enjoyable learning experience. Stop in, call, or email us today to begin your journey toward playing beautiful music!
Private Lessons:
Guitar – Guitar lessons are available for acoustic, electric, and classical guitar. Which one should you start with? That depends on several factors, including the age of the student. Although some will be ready at a younger age, typically it is recommended that students begin around age 7 or 8. It’s important to have a guitar that fits the body. It’s also important to have an instrument that is not too cheap, so it will provide easy “playability” for the student.
Piano – Piano lessons are available for classical study as well as modern keyboard play. Piano is widely considered the foundational instrument in music because it serves as a rhythm, melodic, and harmonic instrument. In addition, its linear note pattern makes it easy for beginners to understand at an early age. The general recommended starting age for piano is 5 years old.
Voice – We have lessons available for vocal development, as well as singing for fun. Students who have hit puberty and older can work on vocal development and can benefit from longer lesson times. In general, children who are age 10 and younger should only do 30-minute lessons, to avoid straining their voices before they are ready.
Bass – Electric bass lessons are perfect for the student who likes to play that groovy, low booming sound. Truth be told, it IS all about that bass!
Drums – Drum set lessons are also available. Drum set players in our studios will learn to play on a high-quality electronic drum kit.
Strings – We have lessons for violin, viola, cello, and upright bass.
Ukulele – The ukulele’s popularity has exploded over the last 5 years. It’s strong appeal lies in its simplicity: it has only four strings and is easy to learn in a relatively short amount of time.
