March 18, 2023 By brighton

Rock Band Camp at Brighton Music Academy

July 24–28, 2023 | Ages 9–16 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Daily
Location: 719 W. Grand River Ave., Brighton, MI 48116

Looking for an exciting and enriching summer experience for your child? Enroll them in Rock Band Camp at Brighton Music Academy—a fun, hands-on program designed for young musicians ages 9 to 16.

This one-week camp is perfect for beginner and early intermediate students who play guitar, bass guitar, piano/keyboard, or drum set. Whether your child is new to their instrument or already developing their skills, they’ll thrive in our supportive and dynamic learning environment.

What Students Will Learn:

  • How to play in a band and understand group dynamics
  • The role of each instrument in modern music styles
  • Chord progressions and techniques used in rock, pop, blues, jazz, and country
  • Collaboration and creativity through structured group practice

Each day runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including instructor-led practice sessions, jam time with peers, and a lunch break. Campers will work closely with other musicians to develop songs and prepare for a final performance.

End-of-Week Performance:

On Friday, July 28th, the camp concludes with a live performance where students showcase what they’ve learned. Families are invited to attend and celebrate the week’s achievements. (Performance details to follow.)

Why Choose Rock Band Camp?

  • Boosts confidence and stage presence
  • Builds teamwork and communication skills
  • Encourages musical creativity
