Looking to start playing guitar? Join our fun and engaging 6-week Beginner Guitar Class, designed for students ages 10 and up with little to no experience. Whether you’re just picking up the instrument or need a refresher, this class is the perfect introduction.
Classes meet every Monday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, starting Monday, November 12 and running through Monday, December 17.
What’s Included:
- Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1
- Clip-on Guitar Tuner
- Guitar Picks
- All materials included at no extra cost!
What You’ll Learn:
- Tuning your guitar
- Basic note and rhythm reading in 4/4 time
- 3 foundational scales: C Major, E minor pentatonic, C major pentatonic
- 5 essential strumming patterns
- Core chords: C, G, Em, and D
- Basic fingerpicking technique
- Intro to improvisation using the E minor pentatonic scale
- Learn to play “Brown Eyed Girl” and other simple songs
Students may bring an acoustic, classical, or electric guitar.
