Our drum instructors bring a well-rounded background in both school-based music programs and real-world performance. Students can expect to learn techniques for full drum set, snare drum, bass drum, and other percussion instruments—all while exploring a variety of musical styles including rock, jazz, and pop.
One of our percussion teachers has a lifelong passion for rhythm, which was inspired early on by cultural drumming traditions and formal study. After receiving his first drum kit at the age of 10, he went on to study under Berklee-trained instructors, perform in marching and concert bands throughout school, and achieve top ratings at Solo and Ensemble competitions. His experience also includes performance in a local band and producing original music as a DJ.
What Students Learn:

- Reading rhythmic notation
- Playing with backing tracks or bands
- Performance preparation and timing
- Music fundamentals and ear training
Lessons are available in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions and are customized to fit the goals of each student.
